Craster is a beautiful harbour village quite unlike any other, steeped in tradition and history, and no visit would be complete unless you visit L. Robson & Sons.

The traditional smokehouse, located with minimal and understated signage overlooks the harbour. Directly next door, the shop is a bustling hive of activity for locals and visitors alike.

Follow your nose; for the scent of wood smoke will draw you towards the courtyard where the famous herring are transformed to legendary kipper status by the Robson family.

Brilliant never tasted such perfect seafood in years so fresh and definitely the best haddock I've ever tasted the most delicious fish and chips. Better than any others in the area.
